CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Anytown was launched in 1957. Our program is the only one of its kind, intentionally bringing together diverse teenagers to learn appropriate and effective methods of discussing difficult topics, such as differences of race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, socio-economic status and other social identifiers.
Anytown models the six ingredients of an effective conversation and provides young people with tools needed to engage in respectful dialogue to bring about positive changes in their community.
Delegates create a model for an ideal community based on respect, understanding, and inclusion, in which members not just tolerate, but celebrate each other’s differences. Teens who experience Anytown Leadership Camp leave the program equipped with the tools to increase their ability to foster inclusion, respect and peace among all members of society.
