CAMP LOCATION: Camp Fire Minnesota is located in the western suburbs of the Twin Cities metro between Chanhassen and Excelsior, Minnesota. Camp Fire is boarded by Lake Minnewashta Regional Park, adding to the natural wildlife and outdoor experience.
CAMP FACILITIES: Camp Fire Minnesota is located on 103 acres of forest, wetlands, and prairie. We have lakefront property on Lake Minnewashta with a separate fishing, boating, and swimming areas. Our resident camp features two cabin communities and a lodge; accommodating 220 overnight campers. Additionally, Camp Fire Minnesota features an archery range, high ropes course, low-ropes agility course, garden, climbing wall, giant swing and more.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Here, in the forests and fields of more than 100 acres on the shore of Lake Minnewashta, young people discover in nature something many didn’t even know they were looking for. Themselves. Their inner sparks. The kindling to ignite their true potential. All youth are welcome. Light the fire within.

Our staff include certified lifeguards and wilderness first-aid certified guides for our Northwoods adventure trips among our large and experienced staff!
We are an ACA (American Camping Association) accredited camp.
Our mission: With nature as our catalyst, we energize youth to discover their spark so their futures glow brighter.
CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Discover your personal leadership style, and put it into action! Our Leadership Program progresses with campers through their teens – from Day Camp Assistant to Counselor in Training to Junior Counselor. Each level of this program includes team-building activities, training and hands-on experience working with and leading younger campers. During the school year, teens continue to meet monthly leading service projects and building leaderships skills in out Teen Outdoor Leaders program.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: We believe every young person should have access to the outdoors. Camp is an influential adventure where campers of all ages explore new activities, learn new skills and make life-long friends. At Camp Fire Minnesota, we understand the importance of this and provide full and partial camp scholarships. Scholarships are awarded based on financial need and funds available.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: There’s so much more to discover outdoors beyond the summer months, join us for any or all of our fall, winter and spring programs. You’ll enjoy seasonal camp activities from archery to fort-building to snowshoeing and much more. Campers will participate activities depending on weather and the season’s conditions.
