BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Southwoods is a four week, co-ed, sleepaway camp located in the Adirondack Mountains of Upstate, New York. Situated on pristine, spring fed Paradox Lake, where the majestic mountains of the Adirondack Park slope to our water’s edge. Children feel safe to explore and grow in our interactive and exciting four week summer camp experience. They are immersed in a wonderful variety of outdoor, waterfront, arts and sports programs. Our cabins and activities are facilitated by a handpicked, mature and motivated staff who teach, inspire, comfort and foster life-long memories and friendships. Our unique combination of extreme fun, child-centered philosophy, and physical location set in the heart of the Adirondack Park, makes the Traditional Sleepaway Summer Camp Experience at Southwoods one not to be missed.

CAMP LOCATION: Southwoods is just...4 hours North of New York City, 1 1/2 hours North of Albany, 2 hours South of Montreal. Located in the heart of the beautiful and picturesque Adirondack Mountains.
CAMP FACILITIES: 25 cabins,Indoor sports pavilion,3 Full size basketball courts, plus 1 Jr. court,Multi-purpose sports fields, Baseball field with 90/60 foot bases, Soccer field with 400 meter running track, Roller-hockey arena, 5 Tennis courts - clay courts, Gymnastics pavilion with spring floor, Indoor Theater, multi-channel mixing board and video, Arts and Crafts, Ceramics and, Woodworking facilities, 50 foot, 12 route climbing tower, 50 foot rappel tower, 10 Element high ropes course, 20 Element low ropes course, Zip Line, Giant Swing, 15 Mountain bikes and riding trails, Access to miles of hiking/walking trails, Beach lakefront swimming, 6 Ski Nautiques boats, Fishing boats, 10 Sunfish, 2 Feva sailboats, 16 Canoes, 15 Kayaks, Gaga Stadium.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Southwoods is the premier four-week summer camp in the country and is considered a community where children can grow, discover, build confidence and form lifelong friendships. We build our camp experiences around people. Southwoods is a recognized leader in the youth development field. Campers continue to take their invaluable summer camp experiences from Southwoods with them into adulthood.
