BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: The TACSY Summer Theater Program is run by seasoned theater professionals. We produce 2 full main stage productions, go to 2 Broadway Shows and have a full day of performing arts electives including Stage Make Up, Play Writing Lab, Vocal Jazz, Show Choir, Broadway Jazz, Hip Hop, Improv, Stage Crafts and many more. We also have daily swim and indoor and outdoor workshops.
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Dance, Theater, Musical Theater, Music/Band, Basketball, Swimming, Tennis, Waterfront/Aquatics, and more.
CAMP LOCATION: We are located in western Suffolk County on about 15 acres.
CAMP FACILITIES: We have a beautiful 600 seat theater, an Olympic sized swimming pool, outdoor tennis courts, outdoor basketball courts and much more.
CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: We hire 10th grade CITs (counselors in training) who get to be involved in activities as a camper while learning how to be a leader through directing, choreographing and running activities.
YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: We run a youth theater company year round. The Junior Company for 1st - 6th grade and the Senior Company for 7th - 12th grade.
